I have recently noticed this behaviour myself with two different SBS 2008 installs. we do not want to modify registry untill we are pretty sure this will solved the problem. If I find myself dealing with an edition of SBS again in the future that still has this issue I will most certainly try to dissect it and figure it out. That isn't a default configuration, even with windows' various auto-discovery methods. Both the DC on its own and all client PCs can once again access the websites that were not loading last night, as well as the websites that were working. In my tests it added no latency. Microsoft should look into this problem.
