A lot of the problems encountered with Bitdefender are the result of incompatability with programs already installed on your computer. Surfing the Internet with a sandboxed browser is the same as normal, with the benefit that any malicious files you inadvertently download cannot do damage your real computer.
Pieces of your application can live in sandboxed iframes, and the parent document can broker communication between them by posting messages and listening for responses.
