Samba Shares Not Working Windows 7


I can't get xbmc or wmp to play anything even though xbmc can see the files and wmp can see the folders but neither can get an further. Can it work? I have double checked the security settings. I am able to once again connect to my Samba share via Windows 7 after removing the stored credentials for the Samba share.
