So I’m usually playing Minecraft online on servers. Today I’m trying to log into a server to play with friends, but it keeps booting me about a minute after logging in with some strange error.
I was always able to log onto the server fine before because I started gathering supplies and started to build my new base away from the community base that’s been set up. I’m trying to log back in now, and I’m unable to do so because of the annoying Java error.
I was hopping to fix this by updating Java so I went and updated to the latest version of Java tonight, and I still got the same error. I tried restarting my router a few times and that also did not solve my issue. Firewall doesn’t appear to be the issue either as I’ve checked that too, even tried disabling.
However, if I use my phone as a hotspot it works just fine, but I’m really not trying to use my data to play a game on my PC. Another player on the server said that after the server got restarted, he was able to play fine, so it looks like an server issue.
Sadly the server owner is on vacation right now though, so I’m looking to see if there’s another alternative to resolving this issue rather than him just having to restart the server, think changing my IP would fix the issue? How would I go about that? I have static IP.
Also I’m trying to play on public servers on the latest version of Minecraft, Java edition, and I have no mods installed, so totally clean, using Windows 10.
I didn’t know where to ask this so I asked it here, It sees that bedrock edition is a newer sleeker version that everyone goes to when they first get the game and ps4 seems like it will merge as well, is the same going to happen to the original version of the game?
The version that may have fewer players but still manages to have a bigger community? The diverse version that can be modded, have resource packs and maps made and uploaded to the internet so that anyone can enjoy them free of charge?
Hell no, lots of changes to launchers and updates. It ain’t gonna happen. In my opinion, java edition is so much better for the reasons of easy modding, shaders, map downloads, free skins, and little to no micro-transactions. Not only that, Java feels so much more responsive than Bedrock edition. There are too many players on java, there’s no way they’d discontinue it unless it starts making less money than it’s worth.
the last few days, I’ve complained on several threads about how
Pillager patrols are appearing at stupidly high rates near (and often
IN) our walled-off village. Sometimes literally within ten blocks in
front of me (and even on my roof of stairs and bottom-half slabs, so the
grass/dirt requirement is BS).
also read that patrols are supposed to spawn ~200 blocks from the
village (and spiral in towards it). This entire time I’ve been
contesting that claim because – as previously stated – they’ll appear
directly in town and right by me. What I didn’t think about until today,
is that there’s another village on the other side of the mountain from
ours. If I had to guess, I would put it at roughly 200 blocks from us.
Now I’m wondering if the patrols that have been plaguing our village are
actually spawning for the other village and just getting distracted by
ours because it’s closer to them when they spawn in.
So a few questions…
- If I were to
gently relocate the villagers in the other village and destroy their
beds, would that stop the pillager patrols from spawning for that
village? (Assuming they are indeed intended for that village and not
- Is the 200 block distance thing true for others? And if so, is it from the center of the village, or from the border?
from the border of the village, could I expand the villager to merge
the two, and stop the patrol spawns inside the village that way?
- Can multiple villages even merge to become one?
– I suspect frequent pillager patrol spawns to be intended for a nearby
village and I need assistance ending this perpetual annoyance.
