Do you have AppleCare or are you "out of warranty"? The SD card doesn't appear in Finder, Disk Utility, Image Capture or anywhere. Cant see it in disk manager either. Let us know a. Mavericks seems to have rendered my 2012 MacBook Air's card reader useless. When I insert a SD card it wont mount into finder. i recon the card is too "thin", so for permanent access i would try and support it with a credit-card from underneath.
